We now have 2 versions of Dormant Purple.
Dorment Purple I has more of a deeper purple look
Dormant Purple II is a bit brighter and has a bit of a pinksh hue in it.
Being a polyurethane, it will smoke in the oven when curing.
You can not mix this with the old powder as they are different chemistries. Being a polyurethane, it will smoke in the oven when curing. This will go to a darker purple when a clear is applied heavier.

*Dormant Colours need a clear coat for the full colour to come through. *When coating in 2-3 stages, always particularly cure the base coat around 50-75% of the recommended cure schedule to allow the top coat to properly cross-link with the base coat. This method of curing will result in the best possible bond between coats. Over curing the base coat can cause possible delamination between coatings. |
